AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe: A Performance Beast
The AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe, which made its global debut in September 2023, represents a significant upgrade. It ditches its predecessor’s 3.0-litre V6 engine for a smaller, more efficient 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with mild-hybrid technology. Don’t let the downsizing fool you – this SUV still packs a punch with 421 HP and 500 Nm of torque. It rockets from 0 to 100 km/hr in a mere 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/hr. The power is sent to all four wheels through a 9-speed automatic transmission. To ensure a thrilling driving experience, the GLC 43 comes standard with rear-wheel steering, high-performance brakes, speed-sensing steering, and adjustable suspension dampers.
The GLC 43 stands out from its standard counterpart with aggressive AMG styling. It boasts a unique grille, sportier bumpers, AMG side skirts, and a quad-exhaust rear diffuser. The coupe’s sloping roofline and large alloy wheels, which can be as big as 21 inches, further enhance its dynamic presence.
Inside, the GLC 43 offers a blend of luxury and sportiness. You’ll find an AMG steering wheel, Nappa leather seats, AMG pedals and floor mats, and illuminated door sills. The digital displays feature AMG-specific graphics. The SUV is also equipped with a premium 710W Burmester sound system, a 12.3-inch driver display, and an 11.9-inch infotainment touchscreen.
The AMG GLC 43 4MATIC Coupe is set to rival the BMW X3 M40i in the Indian market.

CLE 300 Cabriolet: Open-Air Luxury
Mercedes-Benz has also launched the CLE 300 Cabriolet in India. Built on the same platform as the C-Class and the upcoming E-Class, the CLE boasts a longer and more refined profile than its predecessors.
The CLE Cabriolet draws design inspiration from the outgoing E-Class coupe and cabriolet, with a large grille, long bonnet, and an automatic fabric roof that folds neatly into the boot. The Indian model comes in the AMG Line trim, which adds sporty design elements, especially in the bumpers.
The interior of the CLE 300 Cabriolet is similar to the C-Class, featuring a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch portrait-style infotainment display. It offers 2+2 seating with newly designed front seats that come standard with integrated headrests, heating, and four-way lumbar support. Notably, the CLE Cabriolet is the first Mercedes cabriolet to offer separate head airbags for rear passengers as standard. The soft top can be opened or closed in just 20 seconds at speeds of up to 60 km/hr.
Under the hood, the CLE 300 Cabriolet houses a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with a mild-hybrid system. This setup produces 258 HP and 400 Nm of torque, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/hr in 6.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/hr.
The CLE Cabriolet competes with models like the BMW Z4 and offers a more affordable alternative to the Porsche 718 Boxster.
