Matter Aera : Gujarat-based Matter has officially named its first electric bike, Aera, following the bike’s November 2022 unveiling. Aera’s Features

With features like 4G connectivity, Dual Channel ABS keyless entry, a seven-inch LCD touchscreen with onboard navigation, and a nine-axis IMU, the Matter Aera 5000 is crammed with features. Moreover, LED lighting is installed throughout, including a dual-purpose LED projector. There are also extensive connective features available, such as auto-reply to calls while riding and accident detection. The owner can monitor various statistics, such as charge level, position, and ride analysis, with its dedicated smartphone app.

Aera’s Motor

With an impressive 520Nm at the wheel, the Matter Aera 5000 is powered by a 10.5kW liquid-cooled, mid-mounted motor that is rated IP65. The e-bike is equipped with a 5kWh liquid-cooled battery pack. Depending on the variant, it can travel up to 150 km or 125 km. It has an onboard 1kW standard charger and can support both standard and fast charging through a single connector. A typical bedroom 5A, three-pin plug point can also be used for charging.

It takes less than five hours to fully charge using the on-board charger. Together with two gas-charged shocks, it is suspended on a telescopic fork. Discs with the extra safety precaution of dual-channel ABS on both ends are in charge of the braking duties.
